Yoga Holiday in Turkey

Hi everyone, here's an invitation to get away to a holiday haven in South West Turkey. Come and stay at the unspoilt resort of Koycegiz with its fresh air and stunning natural scenery and practise yoga with Narayani on the dedicated rooftop terrace at the Rose Apart Hotel, just half an hour from Dalaman Airport.

Give yourself the time you need to rest and wind down with daily morning yoga sessions to stretch your body, quieten your breath and calm your mind. Feel rested and refreshed with deep relaxation and full breathing.

Relax in a shared apartment with lounge, bedroom and ensuite bathroom plus kitchinette with fridge and kettle. Have brunch each day by the pool and enjoy views of the mountains. There will be free time each day to swim in the pool, take in some rays or explore the nearby lake and local surroundings. Optional excursions are available to explore the mountains, waterfall, visit the mudbaths and hamman or sail across the lake in a gulet.

As part of your stay, you will receive two 45 minute massage treatments from experienced massage practitioner, Karen Ferguson, who will be joining Narayani at Koycegiz. With 10 years' massage experience, Karen will be offering relaxing, therapeutic massage which is particularly effective for the relief of work-related or personal stress and helps to maintain a happy and healthy body. In addition to treatments on a massage couch using fragrant oils, Karen will be offering indian head massage and this may be combined with the couch massage.

The style of yoga Narayani teaches focuses on releasing joints and preparing the body both by warm-ups and by holding postures in a soft, yin way. Many of the movments are co-ordinated with the breath or with sound which is a good way of improving concentration and is also calming and meditative. Attention is brought to body alignment in order to open fully into the classical postures. As well as pranayama (breathing exercises) there will be chanting which is a wonderful way of calming a busy mind and losing yourself in repetitive sounds.

As well as the daily morning sessions of yoga, Narayani will be offering an afternoon session including movement, sound, silence, laughter, active meditations; all ways to further your journey into the stillness and peace within you.

Narayani is an experienced yoga teacher of many years who completed 5 years of teacher training with the Dharma Yoga Centre, part of the Satyananda tradition. She is also qualified to teach by the British Wheel of Yoga, the governing body of yoga in the UK.  Narayani is also a sound healer and tutor of the College of Sound Healing as well as being trained in laughter facilitation with the Laughter Network.

Narayani works with sensitivity and a dash of humour where appropriate and is passionate about learning and inspiring others to experience that eureka moment.

£450 per person including shared accommodation, brunch, first evening's meal, tuition, two treatments (flights, transfers, entry visa and optional excursions not included).
